Event Description

2:00pm - 3:30pm in McCormick Dining

Milk tea w/ boba will be served. Freshman boys will be shot at!

Materials

  • Black Tea
  • 5-minute Boba (we had to clean out much of C-Mart's supply)
  • Condensed Milk
  • Drinks (did not buy because we had lots of milk tea)
  • Snacks
  • Cups
  • Boba Straws (there should already be straws remaining from previous years)
  • Trash Bags and Tape (to cover walls, floor, and FRESHMEN BOYS)
  • LOTS OF ICE!!! (if you plan to make ice-cold tea)

Notes

  • Prepare the Tea on the night before because it needs to chill in the refrigerator. We used ice to cool it down before putting it into the refrigerator. Milk tea took about 2 hours total to make 3 pots
  • Also, do not put the HOT tea directly into the COLD refrigerator (you will make the entire refrigerator hot). You must let it cool before storing in the fridge.
  • Constantly stir the boba to avoid burning
  • 5 minute boba does not take that long to cook, as long as you use 1 big pot for 1-1.5 bags of boba. It actually takes about 10-15 minutes to cook each batch.
  • Boba ran out at around 3pm, event started at around 2. We bought 8 bags of boba and made 3 pots of milk tea. Boba was the limiting factor
  • We covered the floors and walls with trash bags but boba still ended up everywhere. Still, it didn't take too long to clean up because we did a good job taping the floor.
  • Good turnout, prefrosh were excited, albeit a bit timid
  • We handed out pins the day before and for those who brought pins, they received a special prize (which was 3 shots at the freshman boy of their choosing w/o defense)
