Description
Bobafest was held on April 8, 2017 from 4-5pm. We again held the event in MacGregor dining, which continued to work great for us, as we did all our cooking in Next Country Kitchen. Because of the care package snack surplus, we didn't have to buy snacks for the event. We also brought Chinese chess, origami, and mahjong. Turnout was high, as usual.
Unlike last year, the boba ran out before the tea, which was good. We fed excess tea to the ADT rehearsal that began an hour after our event in MacGregor Dining. Using smaller cups probably helped. As usual there was no pub for Bobafest except for the CPW booklet and business cards handed out at Activities Midway.
The tea was made the night before. Setup at MacGregor was at 2:30pm which overlapped with Activities Midway. For tea recipe, see last year's page.
Feels
- Bring the large mahjong sets
- Continue stationing people outside MacGregor when the event starts so prefrosh can find us! It might also be nice to make some signs pointing them to the correct door.
- Make sure there are enough people to carry the tea and boba from Next to MacGregor (or see if there's a Next cart we can use).
- Sarah had some struggles here, but apparently she got a boyfriend out of this so… keep carrying tea by hand??

Other Notes
Notes from last year that we didn't follow:
- Save the lychee jars from care packages: this is to transport the tea
- If you don't save the jars, get a drink dispenser: there is allegedly one in Walker
