Description

Make plushies and cute stuff to wrap up IAP. We made adorable, cube-shaped friends as well as ATS shirt pillows.

Everyone made plushies (not sure if anyone made a pillow...).

Made milk tea instead of buying drinks to stay within budget. Giant pot of green tea + milk + sugar...

Originally, we planned to hold the event in Next House TFL, but MTG needed the piano for rehearsal. We traded reservations and moved to dining. In retrospect, this swap was great, because having chairs and tables to sew at was nice.

The event lasted way past its stated end time, which was... fine? But we shouldn't feel bad about kicking people out after ending. For example, "We don't have dining reserved anymore, so we need to wrap up."

Also, don't forget to make a guestlist beforehand! (Or plan to have someone waiting at the door, or have people contact someone for entry.)

You can buy felt at Artist and Craftsman on Mass Ave across from HMart.

Materials

All materials are stored in Walker storage, 3rd floor, across from the rock climbing room.

- felt/cloth (there should be old misprint ATS t-shirts you can use too)

- paper to design and brainstorm

- pens/pencils for drawing and tracing

- scissors, check them out from desk and bring more!

- needles and string

- templates and demos for inspiration

Tutorial Ideas:

For box-shaped plushies, print out box templates. Trace on felt, sew the sides together, and decorate!

In general, draw out the shape you want, cut it out and sew them together!
