Description

ATS had a joint mixer with Lion Dance that was open to both groups as well as the rest of the MIT community. There were lots of snacks and arts and crafts activities, primarily origami pigs (for the Year of the Pig).

Volunteers

Event captain(s): Bianca Wang-Polendo and Elaine Zhang

  • Bianca - Order scallion pancakes
  • Elaine - Collaborate with Lion Dance, buy snacks

Food

  • Scallion pancakes from Jojo Taipei (ordered too many)
  • Snacks, including chips and Asian candies

Materials

  • Origami paper and origami instruction sheets
  • Other art supplies, such as paper, markers, scissors, etc.
  • Lion Dance brought their lion costume to let people try it out

Other Notes

Not many people showed up but the people who did seemed to have fun. We ordered too many scallion pancakes (35 orders). This event was planned more last-minute.
