Editing Toolbar
When you press the "edit" button you are presented with a text field with a toolbar above it. If the buttons are pressed with text selected, the corresponding format is applied to the text - otherwise, a basic template for that format is inserted at the cursor.

Common Formatting Operations
Bold text
- Bold text - Pretty self-explanatory, enclose text with three single quotes
Italic text
- Italic text - Also pretty simple, use two single quotes
Bold Italic text
- Bold Italic text - No, using 4 single quotes does not do anything special (it results in bold text with a pair of single quotes displayed).
<u>Underlined text</u>
- Underline text with the <u> tags
Alternate text
- Blah - To link to another page in the wiki, use double brackets. The name/title of the page is what goes between the double brackets. If you want to change the text of the link, add the alternate text after a vertical bar.
link title
- Link Title - similar to an internal link, the external link instead uses single brackets, and the link title is separated from the URL by a single space.
*Item
- Bulleted lists are created with asterisks, with the number of asterisks determining the item level.
#Item1
- Numbered lists are created with the number sign, also with the number of number signs determining the item level.
;Word
:Definition
- Definition lists are created with semicolons for the entries and colons for the definitions.
<blockquote>Quote</blockquote>
- To quote passages, use the <blockquote> tags
Headline text
- "Common Formatting Operations" above is an example of headline 2 text, used for section headings. For subsection headings, instead of 2 equal signs, use 3, or 4, equal signs.

- To embed a picture, use an internal link to "File:Example.jpg"

- To link to a file or picture, use an internal link to "Media:Example.jpg"
x2i
- x2i - super- and subscripts are accomplished with the and tags
Random Points
- Formatting added with the toolbar cannot be [ctrl-z]-ed
